Tom,
We need more research on research utilization (got that?), especially at the intersection of tech, education, innovation, etc.

NWREL has framed a research agenda around research utilization here:
http://www.docstoc.com/docs/12222356/the-Role-of-Research-Evidence-inEducational-Policyand-PracticeToward-a-Research-Agenda-for-Understanding-and-Improvingthe-Use-of-Research-Evidence

Also, Porter and McMaken do a nice job explaining the issues here:
http://www.pdkintl.org/kappan/k_v91/docs/k0909por.pdf

Good luck with it all…from a TC doc. graduate.

Hi Jon,
Thanks for the reply and resources. I’m becoming more and more intrigued by the gap between research and policy. I see from your blog and bio that you have experience in this field. I’m refraining from asking more questions till I check out the resources!

Please check in if you think of any other directions.

Best,
Tom
